Vidyard Pricing: Free vs Paid Plans for Sales Video

Summarize with AI

Vidyard pricing starts at $0, but the first paid step is substantial: Starter costs $89 per seat monthly or $59 per seat monthly on annual billing. Free suits light individual recording. Starter fits a seller who needs unlimited recording and paid analytics. Teams becomes the relevant quote when deeper CRM or marketing automation data connections matter, while unlimited AI video generation requires the Video Agent add-on on paid plans.

Vidyard pricing by plan

Vidyard publishes four plan levels. Free and Starter have public USD prices. Teams and Enterprise require a sales quote. The amounts below are per seat per month where applicable, and the annual Starter rate is billed annually.

PlanMonthly priceAnnual-billing rateRecording allowanceData integrationsBest purchasing fit
Free$0$05 recorded videos per month, up to 30 minutes each0Individual testing and occasional video
Starter$89/seat/month$59/seat/monthUnlimited recording0Individual sellers who record frequently
TeamsCustomCustomUnlimited recording2Revenue teams needing deeper CRM or MAP data connections
EnterpriseCustomCustomUnlimited recordingUnlimitedLarger teams needing API, ingestion, SSO, and custom controls

Vidyard describes Teams as best for teams of five or more. That is positioning, not a published five-seat contractual minimum. Ask the seller to state any seat floor, invoice schedule, initial term, renewal terms, and onboarding fees in the quote.

The vendor's official static pricing snapshot supports the plan matrix, but it also says the live page is authoritative. Use the live page for approval because commercial figures and entitlements can change.

Free versus Starter depends on recording volume

Free allows five new recorded videos per month, with recordings capped at 30 minutes. That can support product testing, a few personal messages, or an occasional follow-up. It will constrain a seller who uses video throughout prospecting and deal progression.

Starter removes the ordinary recording limit and adds full video analytics, team performance analytics, a branded sharing page, call-to-action templates, password protection, and folder management on Vidyard's current pricing materials. Starter has a 14-day trial on the published card. Verify the trial and renewal terms at checkout rather than treating the card as the contract.

Unlimited recording does not mean unlimited AI video generation. Vidyard separates recorded video from AI-generated video and licenses Video Agent as an add-on for paid plans. A buyer who needs both should budget both lines.

Video Agent changes the paid-plan cost

Vidyard lists the Video Agent add-on at $29 per seat monthly or $24 per seat monthly on annual billing for Starter. Teams and Enterprise add-on prices are custom. An assigned Video Agent seat includes unlimited AI videos and three active custom avatars, along with automated creation and delivery capabilities.

Starter configurationMonthly billingAnnual-billing monthly equivalent
Base Starter seat$89$59
Video Agent add-on$29$24
Combined per equipped seat$118$83
5 equipped seats$590$415
10 equipped seats$1,180$830

These are arithmetic totals from the displayed per-seat prices, not a Vidyard quote. Taxes, services, a different seat mix, and future rates can change the invoice. Ask whether every Starter user needs Video Agent or whether the account can assign it only to people who generate AI videos.

Add Video Agent only for sellers who will generate AI videos or use its campaign workflow. A rep recording personal one-to-one videos may need Starter without Video Agent. A team generating personalized videos from buyer actions may need the add-on plus a supported workflow connection. Our outbound resources can help document that handoff before the team buys seats.

The Free AI video allowance has a published conflict

The live pricing card and Vidyard's pricing snapshot display 15 AI videos on Free. Vidyard help prose also describes a 15-video lifetime allowance for users without a Video Agent seat. A table in the same help material says the Free AI video limit is five.

We would not hide that discrepancy in a budget. Treat 15 as the current live-page display, flag the conflicting five-video help row, and ask Vidyard to confirm the enforceable allowance in writing if the Free plan depends on AI generation. Also clarify whether the limit is monthly or lifetime, because that changes the value of the plan.

CRM integrations have more than one layer

Vidyard's comparison separates Partner Apps from Data Integrations and API or ingestion-based connections. Partner Apps appear across all four plans. Data Integrations are listed as none on Free and Starter, two on Teams, and unlimited on Enterprise. API and ingestion-based integrations appear only on Enterprise.

The Teams card also advertises CRM and marketing automation platform integrations. Meanwhile, Vidyard's setup documentation can describe app availability on lower plans. These statements can coexist because installing an app, sharing a video, syncing viewer data, triggering a workflow, and using an API are different integration layers.

Write the required behavior into the purchase test:

  1. A rep can record or select the video inside the sales tool.
  2. The recipient's watch activity reaches the correct contact record.
  3. The team can use that activity in the intended workflow or report.
  4. Duplicate contacts and permission failures have an assigned resolution path.

Do not buy Teams solely because the card says CRM integration. Buy it when the documented data connection matches the fields, direction, and workflow the team needs. Enterprise becomes relevant when unlimited integrations, API access, ingestion, or SSO is a defined requirement.

Normalize Teams and Enterprise quotes

A custom quote should split base seats, Video Agent seats, services, and any usage-priced add-ons. Record the initial and renewal totals separately. If a quote bundles several items, ask the seller to show the quantity and unit for each one so another vendor can be compared on the same scope.

Quote lineWhat to record
Base planTeams or Enterprise, seat quantity, unit rate, and minimum commitment
Video AgentAssigned seat quantity, unit rate, AI allowance, and avatar terms
IntegrationsNamed CRM or MAP, data direction, included count, and overage path
ServicesSetup, onboarding, training, and ongoing support
ContractInitial term, invoice timing, renewal term, and cancellation deadline
SecuritySSO, permissions, playback controls, and required plan

Run a 30-day operating test with the people who will send videos and the people who will inspect engagement data. Measure created videos, actual sends, watch data written to the CRM, rep time, and records that need correction. Our services explain how we connect channels and CRM handoffs into one managed outbound system.

Approve a paid plan only after the trial proves the required recording volume, analytics, and CRM writeback with real seller accounts. For Teams or Enterprise, attach the tested field mapping and security requirement to the order so renewal reviewers can verify that the quoted tier still earns its cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

A modern outbound stack includes: data enrichment (Apollo, Clay, ZoomInfo), email infrastructure (Google Workspace, custom domains), sending tools (Smartlead, Instantly), warm-up services (Warmbox), LinkedIn automation (Expandi, Dripify), CRM integration (HubSpot, Salesforce), and analytics platforms. Most agencies use 15–30 tools orchestrated together.

Building your own stack costs $3K–5K/month in software alone, plus a dedicated person to manage it. With a managed service, you get all the tooling plus the expertise to orchestrate it, often at lower total cost. The key question: can you afford to spend 6–8 weeks setting up instead of generating pipeline?

There's no single 'best' tool. It depends on your volume, budget, and integration needs. Smartlead and Instantly are popular for high-volume sending. Apollo doubles as a data and sequencing platform. The real advantage comes from how tools are orchestrated together, not from any single tool choice.

Look for three things: (1) Do you own the infrastructure they build? (2) Are the engagement terms clear, including what happens after the initial build-and-learn period? (3) Can you see transparent metrics and real case studies with specific numbers? LeadHaste starts with a three-month engagement, then moves month-to-month. Avoid vague reporting and providers that own your domains.

Data enrichment is the process of taking basic company or contact data and adding layers of detail: job titles, direct emails, phone numbers, technographics, intent signals, company size, funding stage, and more. Enrichment tools like Apollo, Clay, and ZoomInfo pull from multiple data sources to build a complete prospect profile before outreach begins.
