Prospeo Alternatives: Email Finders Compared on Accuracy and Cost

Summarize with AI

The strongest Prospeo alternatives depend on where a contact enters your workflow. Skrapp is the closest documented replacement for LinkedIn-led finding, while Hunter fits teams that begin with a person's name or company domain and want separately priced verification. Published accuracy claims cannot settle the choice. Run the same approved sample through each product, then compare found, valid, catch-all, unknown, duplicate, and failed results before moving a production list.

Prospeo alternatives compared on charging and workflow

Official pricing and product pages were checked on October 12, 2026. We did not submit records to any vendor, so we do not rank accuracy or coverage. Prices, credit rules, statuses, and extension support below come from vendor documentation. Calculated unit costs divide the displayed plan price by included credits and exclude tax, unused allowances, extra seats, and non-email features.

ProductEntry paid plan reviewedDocumented charging ruleVerificationLinkedIn workflow
ProspeoStarter $49 monthly per user for 2,000 creditsOne credit per email found; zero if no email is foundFinder returns verified business emails; direct mobile costs 10 creditsChrome extension supports Sales Navigator and website capture
SkrappProfessional $39 monthly or $29 monthly billed annually for 2,000 credits and two usersOne credit for a found email with a verification status, or one separate verification; invalid and unknown results are not chargedValid, catch-all, invalid, and unknown status model documentedLinkedIn Basic, Sales Navigator, and Recruiter; paid tier adds multi-page enrichment

Currencies make the headline unit costs non-equivalent. At the monthly entry tier, Prospeo shows $0.0245 per included credit, Skrapp shows $0.0195, and Hunter shows €0.0245. A credit also buys different work in each product. Hunter verification uses half a credit, while Skrapp uses one credit for either a found result or a separate verification.

Use Prospeo as the replacement baseline

Prospeo's pricing page lists Free with 100 monthly credits, Starter at $49 per month for 2,000, Growth at $99 for 5,000, and Pro at $249 for 15,000. Paid pricing is shown per user. Yearly billing displays $37, $74, and $187 per month, with the annual credit allowances delivered upfront.

The same page defines the core meter plainly: one credit returns one verified business email, while a direct mobile number costs 10 credits. People exports cost one credit per email found and zero when no email is found. Credits reset at renewal and do not roll over. The Chrome extension appears in the plan comparison, and Prospeo's official product page documents Sales Navigator exports with contact data.

Prospeo now covers broader people and company search, firmographic fields, intent topics, CRM functions, and enrichment. Replacing only its email-finding step may leave another search or enrichment job uncovered. List the fields and filters the team uses before comparing finder prices.

Skrapp is the closest LinkedIn-led replacement

Skrapp's pricing page displays Professional at $39 per month or $29 per month on annual billing for 2,000 monthly credits and two users. Its free plan includes 50 credits and access to the finder, verifier, and LinkedIn integrations. Professional adds multi-page LinkedIn enrichment, Sales Navigator list saving, exports, and CRM sync.

Skrapp says a credit is used when the finder returns an email with a verification status or when the user verifies one address. Its FAQ says invalid and unknown emails are not charged, while valid and catch-all results are charged. Unused paid credits roll over according to the reviewed page.

That charging rule has an operational consequence. Catch-all is billable even though the receiving server does not confirm a specific mailbox. Build a routing rule for catch-all records rather than counting every charged result as equally ready to send.

Our view: Skrapp is the best documented direct substitute in this comparison for a team that builds lists inside LinkedIn. It covers the three named LinkedIn surfaces, publishes the billable status boundary, and includes two users on its entry paid plan. That judgment concerns workflow fit, not independently measured accuracy.

Hunter separates finding from verification cost

Hunter's pricing page lists Starter at €49 per month for 2,000 monthly credits. Annual billing displays €34 per month and grants 24,000 credits upfront. The public meter is one credit for an email found and half a credit for an email verified. Monthly credits reset and do not roll over, while the yearly allowance is available upfront.

Paid plans include auto-verification, enrichment, Discover filters, sequences, browser extensions, and unlimited team members. Hunter's official Chrome extension page describes finding addresses while browsing a website. The official pages reviewed did not document bulk capture from LinkedIn Basic, Sales Navigator, or Recruiter, so buyers should not assume the extension replaces a LinkedIn extraction workflow.

Hunter fits a name-and-domain process, a company-website research process, or a team with substantial verification volume. At the Starter monthly price, 2,000 finder credits imply €0.0245 per included find. If all credits were used only for verification, the half-credit meter permits up to 4,000 attempts, implying €0.01225 per included verification attempt. Those are allowance calculations, not promised costs per usable contact.

Accuracy requires a matched test, not marketing percentages

A fair test keeps inputs and decisions constant. Build an approved sample that reflects your actual regions, company sizes, and source channels. Do not mix a LinkedIn-heavy sample for one vendor with a domain list for another.

Reconcile these outcomes for every submitted row:

  • a new address returned with its exact vendor status;
  • no result and whether the attempt was charged;
  • catch-all, unknown, invalid, or risky treatment;
  • duplicate handling within the billing cycle;
  • a later independent verification result;
  • the final internal decision to send, hold, or suppress.

The test should report coverage and status agreement separately. A tool can return more addresses by accepting more catch-all results, while another can return fewer and label more records unknown. Neither pattern proves mailbox-level truth without controlled follow-up.

Choose by the result your process can govern

Choose Skrapp when LinkedIn list capture is the main entry point and a charged catch-all can be routed safely. Choose Hunter when the team starts with names and domains, values a half-credit verifier, or needs unlimited users on the paid plan. Keep Prospeo when its wider people search, firmographics, extension, and enrichment replace several separate steps.

The cheapest included credit can still produce the highest usable-record cost when the allowance expires, catch-all records require another service, or staff must repair exports manually. Compare accepted records that reach an approved CRM workflow rather than adding every revealed address to the denominator.

LeadHaste connects sourcing and verification to suppression controls, owned inbox infrastructure, sequencing, CRM handoff, and reply ownership. Our outbound services cover the operating system around the finder, regardless of which vendor returns the address.

Frequently Asked Questions

A modern outbound stack includes: data enrichment (Apollo, Clay, ZoomInfo), email infrastructure (Google Workspace, custom domains), sending tools (Smartlead, Instantly), warm-up services (Warmbox), LinkedIn automation (Expandi, Dripify), CRM integration (HubSpot, Salesforce), and analytics platforms. Most agencies use 15–30 tools orchestrated together.

Building your own stack costs $3K–5K/month in software alone, plus a dedicated person to manage it. With a managed service, you get all the tooling plus the expertise to orchestrate it, often at lower total cost. The key question: can you afford to spend 6–8 weeks setting up instead of generating pipeline?

There's no single 'best' tool. It depends on your volume, budget, and integration needs. Smartlead and Instantly are popular for high-volume sending. Apollo doubles as a data and sequencing platform. The real advantage comes from how tools are orchestrated together, not from any single tool choice.

Look for three things: (1) Do you own the infrastructure they build? (2) Are the engagement terms clear, including what happens after the initial build-and-learn period? (3) Can you see transparent metrics and real case studies with specific numbers? LeadHaste starts with a three-month engagement, then moves month-to-month. Avoid vague reporting and providers that own your domains.

Data enrichment is the process of taking basic company or contact data and adding layers of detail: job titles, direct emails, phone numbers, technographics, intent signals, company size, funding stage, and more. Enrichment tools like Apollo, Clay, and ZoomInfo pull from multiple data sources to build a complete prospect profile before outreach begins.
